MDesS students win big at Commencement 2012!

On a beautiful commencement day, Michail Vlasopoulos took home the Gerald M. McCue Medal for the highest academic achievement at the GSD. Michail was in the history of philosophy and design concentration. Daniel Ibanez-Moreno won the Dimitris Pikionis Award, his area was urbanization, landscape, ecology and Daniel will be continuing his studies at the GSD as a Doctor of Design student starting in August 2012. The Daniel Schodek award in technology and sustainability for the best thesis went to Marshal Prado whose thesis was titled “Building Code: A Spatial Ethology.” Hugh Clark won the Ferdinand Colloredo-Mansfield Prize for superior achievement in real estate and Eddy Man Kim recieved the Digital Design Prize. Nine graduates received distinction for their academic excellence. It was an exciting commencement day for the MDesS community led by class marshal Dongsei Kim.
