Farshid Moussavi a finalist for Moscow Museum

Farshid Moussavi (professor of architecture) is a finalist for the competition to design a new science museum and educational center in Moscow. The new museum will showcase scientific and technological advances and is envisioned as a meeting place for the international scientific community.
The 6 teams on the competition shortlist were winnowed from 50 international architects partnering with Russian firms. Moussavi is working with Architectural Bureau Rozhdestvenka.
The museum is part of a modernization plan for Moscow State Lomonosov University and its Polytechnic Museum, one of the largest in the world and one of the oldest technical museums in Russia. Selection of the architects will occur in March, with the museum slated for completion within 5 years.
