Xiaowei R. Wang (MLA I ’13) has been selected as a finalist in the INDEX Design Award competition for her FLOAT Beijing project. Wang’s project introduces a unique concept of enabling Beijing citizens to monitor air quality by using kites.
The finalists for the INDEX Design Award competition will present a number of innovative concepts shaped to deal with various modern day challenges, and will be presented at the INDEX: Award 2013 Finalists Press Meeting in Denmark.
Of the 1022 nominees, 60 finalists were selected from 73 countries. Other finalists include projects such as MakerBot, Google Glass and Skillshare.
