Eve Blau at Japan Society in New York

Eve Blau, adjunct professor of the history of urban form, spoke at the Japan Society in New York on April 1, 2015. In a conference on The Naoshima Symbiosis for the Future: Art, Architecture, and Nature, Blau conducted a discussion with former Benesse Holdings Chairman and CEO, and founder of the Benesse Art Site Naoshima, Soichiro Fukutake, and the architects Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa (SANAA), and Hiroshi Sambuichi, on the relationships between art, architecture, and nature structured by the project in Japan’s Seto Inland Sea, and the transformative role that architecture and art can play in regional revitalization.
