SPRING 2014 DOMESTIC Studio – LOS ANGELES, ca
During the spring 2014 semester the Studio Abroad program will take a domestic approach to its site location, and will take students to the east coast of the US. Students will study in Los Angeles, CA with architect Michael Maltzan, founder and principal of Michael Maltzan Architecture (MMA). MMA, founded in 1995, is an architecture and urban design practice committed to the creation of progressive, transformative experiences that chart new trajectories for architecture, urbanism and the public realm. Through a deep belief in architecture's role in our cities and landscape, Maltzan and his firm are creating new cultural and social connections across a range of scales and programs. Follow the LA studio with Michael Maltzen on tumblr!
The studio participants were selected during the fall 2013 semester, and curriculum dates are tentatively set for January 27-April 28, 2013. For questions about this studio please see our frequently asked questions, or email Ashley Torr.
