What was your work experience/background before coming to the GSD?
A variety of internships in architectural design, historic preservation, real estate development, and construction management.
Why did you decide to pursue planning as a career?
It seems fascinating to positively affect daily lives in cities.
What made you decide to come to the GSD?
Studio classes which I think are pivotal in planner’s practices.
What are your main interests in planning and concentration area?
Planning law and policies and Real estate development
What has been the most surprising aspect of the GSD?
Either direct or indirect Interactions with students in other programs providing inspiration, creative ideas, graphic skills, and diverse perspectives on both academic and practical issues related to the built environment.
What has been your favorite class or project? Why?
Markets and Market Failures gave me new perspectives on planning issues by thoroughly investigating actual cases.
What did you do over the summer? How did that add to your education and goals?
I took a few economics classes to strengthen my weakness in economics. I believe this will help my understanding of economic components of urban interventions which now become more important in the contemporary urban planning.
What are your career ambitions?
I wish I could contribute as an urban policy maker to shaping/reshaping the better environment of planning practices for better daily lives in cities.
