
MArch II Degree Requirements
Requirements for Award of Degree
A candidate will be recommended for the Master in Architecture as a
postprofessional degree upon satisfactory completion of a minimum of
60 units. MArch II students pursue the following three semester course of study:

*A minimum of one-half of the electives in the student's curriculum must be from courses offered by the GSD. Students are eligible to fulfill electives through cross-registered courses at Harvard schools, MIT or the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts.
**MArch II students who choose to prepare a thesis must obtain approval of their course of studies from the program director by the end of the first semester and are required to take Thesis Prep (GSD 9203) the semester prior to Independent Design Thesis (9301). Independent Design Thesis is taken in place of the third-semester Studio Option.
