EVENTS
The GSD is a hub of activity, and the constant sharing of ideas related to design and the built environment is essential to the School's mission.
Department
of Architecture Lecture Series
The Graduate School of Design's lecture program presents internationally
prominent speakers in the design fields. They are invited to share their
work and ideas with the GSD community, thus providing insight into contemporary
professional practice and scholarship.
Unless noted otherwise, all architecture department lectures are Tuesday evenings at 6:30 pm in Piper Auditorium at Gund Hall (48 Quincy Street). Please see the Public Lecture Series poster for Architecture Department Lectures.
Public
Lecture Series
The GSD also hosts a Public Lecture Series. Unless otherwise noted,
all Public Lectures are held at 6:30 pm in Piper Auditorium on Wednesday
nights.
Conferences
and Symposia
The GSD sponsors occasional conferences and symposia that bring to the
school practitioners and scholars who examine historical or contemporary
issues and ideas concerning the built and natural environments.
Exhibitions
Throughout the academic year, the GSD presents exhibitions illustrating
historic perspectives, contemporary planning, and design approaches
and issues. These exhibitions are shown in the Gund Hall Gallery located
in the lobby. Additionally, a "Currents Wall" is devoted to
recent work of individual faculty. There is also a space reserved for
student work which is managed by the Student Forum.
