Guidelines for Instructors

Examinations and Final Reviews

All GSD courses should normally have a final review, a final paper, or a final examination at the conclusion of the term. Ordinarily all design reviews, except thesis projects, are conducted during the week following the conclusion of classes. During the reading and final exam periods, final exams, papers and thesis projects are completed.

Students are required to take examinations and participate in final reviews as scheduled. Absence from either is permissible only in extraordinary circumstances, and the reason must be verified. If authorized by the instructor to do so, the department administrator will make arrangements for the makeup.

If a student has a time conflict with another course when the final exam is scheduled, contact Sean Conlon, the registrar (496-5154), who will confirm whether there is a conflict and discuss alternative arrangements with you.

See Due Dates for the dates grades are due in the registrar's office.
