Course Description
This introductory course surveys the history, conventions, and techniques of drawing landscapes and their elements. Topics include:
1. Mechanical drawing; graphic techniques and technical conventions for plan, section, elevation, orthographic projection, and landscape perspective systems.
2. Drawing as a tool in the design process. The integration of drawing as an integral part of the design process.
3. Freehand landscape drawing and drawing from nature; line, tone, and color will be employed to study form, space, texture, and light.
This course will begin as an intensive pre-semester course starting on September 2nd at 8:30 am and will also meet during the semester.
