The project is to analyze and design buildings as if their forms correlate to the movement of thought. In order to do so, several existing buildings will be used to uncover conflicts between peculiarly combined typological and figurative forms. These forms will be deeply indebted to social arrangements, first and foremost, and to context, structure, tectonics, light and acoustics. Transformational diagrams will make evident how we understand buildings to be mental constructs, as opposed to static objects. Working this way will require that we assume buildings to be implicitly elastic. They must be, in order to facilitate narratives, such as the transmogrification of one normative typological form into another, a process which, along the way, produces iterations that correspond to the actual shapes and attributes of the building. Ultimately, the buildings to be designed will represent a language of architectural interpretation.
