Jane Hutton

Jane Hutton is a researcher and registered landscape architect, currently teaching courses in design and technology. Her practice focuses on collaborations with activist groups re-thinking constructed urban ecological systems. Recent projects include a prototype urban agriculture and soil regeneration project at Parc Downsview Park, Toronto, and an installation at the 2009 International Garden Festival in the Jardins de Metis, Quebec (with Adrian Blackwell). As a senior designer at PLANT Architect Inc., (Toronto), she focused on public and institutional, urban landscapes including the Nathan Phillips Square Revitalization, Liza's Roof Garden on the Royal Ontario Museum, and a winning proposal for the Market Square Competition in Stratford, ON. Jane holds a Master of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Environmental Sciences from McGill University, Montreal.
