Pascal Flammer

Pascal Flammer studied architecture at ETH Zurich, Lausanne and TU Delft and traveled extensively in Europe, South America as well as the Middle and Far East. He opened his practice in 2005 and has since then been awarded the Swiss Art Awards and the Weissenhof Architecture Award. He is currently planning the construction of a villa in the Swiss Jura, that was nominated for the Swiss Art Awards 2009, a house in Liguria, Italy and a Community Center in the favela Julio Otoni in Rio de Janeiro, exhibited at the International Architecture Biennale Rotterdam 2009. Former projects, such as 'Office With Two Stairs', 'Skyscraper for Zurich' and the 'Chiesa de la Neve' have been widely exhibited in Switzerland and Germany. Pascal gained his experience through his time at Valerio Olgiati, where he worked from 1998 until 2005. He is a frequent design critic at Swiss universities and his articles have been published in major architecture magazines. Since 2006 he has taught at the Accademia di architettura Mendrisio, Switzerland.
