Jay Wickersham

Wickersham teaches courses in the professional practices of design firms. An architect and lawyer, Wickersham is a partner of Noble & Wickersham LLP, a Cambridge MA environmental and construction law firm. From 1998 to 20002 he was Assistant Secretary of Environmental Affairs, Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and director of the Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act (MEPA) office, which reviews all major public and private projects statewide. Wickersham has written and lectured widely on planning and environmental law issues. He is the principal author of The State of Our Environment (Massachusetts Executive Office of Environmental Affairs, 2000) and a contributing author to Rathkopf's The Law of Zoning and Planning (Clark Boardman Callaghan). He received his BA from Yale University, his MArch from the GSD, and his JD from Harvard Law School.
