For many years the Graduate School of Design has been engaged in a series of collaborative academic activities throughout the world. These activities, which generally fall into the categories listed below, produce greater mutual understanding of design problems and opportunities, prepare our students to work in the international arena, and help to improve academic research capacities in landscape architecture, architecture, and urban planning and design. All the projects we are engaged in seek to contribute constructively to on going discussion and debate about tangible visions for the future physical development and creation of sustainable quality environments throughout the world.Sponsored activities at the GSD generally consist of three categories of projects: studios, technical assistance, and research.
