The Architectural Imagination (Graduate Seminar in General Education)

This course is a Graduate Seminar in General Education. We seek graduate students, especially doctoral students, from departments across the University. In the seminar, we will conceptualize and develop a General Education course in architecture to be taught next year (2011-12) for Harvard undergraduates. The seminar seeks to construct a model of the architectural imagination as a specific mode of knowledge and medium of social representation. Readings in history and philosophy; analysis of selected architectural projects; research in new media and technologies for teaching and studying architecture. Note: Offered jointly with FAS as History of Art and Architecture 208g.
