MDE Lecture: Karen Harris, “The Great Transformation of the Coming Decade”

The coming period will be the period of The Great Transformation, the most significant transformational period seen in generations—the most significant period of transformation seen by anyone in positions of public leadership or business today. Transformation is a time of turbulence, but also a time of significant growth and opportunity when the deck of winners and losers are shuffled again and again, when growth rates surge forward unexpectedly, and when the anchors and moorings of state and society are freed to reset to new points that will define the global environ for businesses for decades to come. Karen Harris will discuss the changing trends that compose this transformation and challenge conventional wisdom regarding subjects such as urbanization, population growth, and sources of global economic growth.
