“To create an integrity in establishing
a free shape, a new method is needed for configuration, with flexible
start points: instead of line, surface; instead of equi-support, scatter;
instead of fixed center, a moving locus; instead of points, zones.
Yet within this open exploration, there are common characteristics:
in each case, the intervention that influences the design is a local
forcing move, or a juxtaposition that stresses rhythm, or two or more
events mixing to yield hybrid natures.”
