| Supermodels: Karen Bausman | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | |
December 3, 2001- January 11, 2002
The culmination of the process of designing, reworking, transformation, is the supermodel which represents the fusion of architectural vision and structural analysis into a layered expression of abstract form and tactile detail. The supermodel permits the interrelationship of overall structure and surface detail to be readily grasped by the mind and hand. Karen Bausman’s inherently organic processes are often expressed overtly, invoking nature or its graphical representations as abstract templates or iconographic reference points.
Karen Bausman was the Fall 2001 Eliot Noyes Visiting Design Critic
