Event Description

Corporations face myriad questions about how to design an office environment that simultaneously meets the demands of today’s workers and their employers’ business needs. On April 25, the Real Estate Academic Initiative (REAI) will explore the creative opportunities for designing office spaces that are simultaneously functional and efficient, livable and financially practical.

This gathering at the Graduate School of Design’s Piper Auditorium will include the occupier, designer and investor perspectives to explore what office designs are both attractive to residents looking for highly efficient and functional space, and appealing for investors who need to anticipate the most profitable markets for new or refurbished buildings. The perspective of corporate leaders is critical for designers, architects and planners to balance the interests of a mobile, technology-enabled workforce with those employers who need to attract and retain top-notch talent.

Join us for a thought-provoking discussion of the contemporary challenges and opportunities of designing and locating office space in the U.S. commercial real estate market. Our diverse group of panelists and moderators will provide crucial insights into the future of the modern workplace for workers, policy-makers, investors and innovative designers.
