Database of Planning Employers

Log on to your account in 'eRecruiting at GSD' to locate organizations and jobs of interest to you, as well ad GSD alumni contacts with many planning employers.

GSD urban planning students can obtain a password from GSD Career Services to access the job and employer database (known as 'JACK') of the Kennedy School of Government.

Interested in Real Estate?
GSD urban planning students are encouraged to attend "Real Estate Career Day," an annual fall program held in collaboration with the MIT Center for Real Estate and the MIT Department of Urban Studies and Planning. During the spring semester, be sure to attend the Real Estate Career Networking Reception, a collaboration between the Office of Executive Education's Advanced Management Development Program (AMDP) and GSD Career Services.

APA and its professional institute, the American Institute of Certified Planners, advance the art and science of planning to meet the needs of people and society. Visit this site to find information about planning careers, job postings, local APA chapters and the latest salary survey.
  • Cyburbia, established in 1994, is an urban planning social/community and portal site. Cyburbia includes a busy message board, a user-contributed image gallery and a comprehensive gateway site for planning job listings.
  • APA Job Database features job opportunities in planning and allied professions.
  • The Urban and Regional Information Systems Association (URISA) is a nonprofit association of professionals using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and other information technologies to solve challenges in state/provincial, regional and local government agencies.
