Printing and Plotting

The general info below is true for all printers and plotters at the GSD.
Cost Recovery Policy
All GSD students are charged PER PAGE for all printing and PER LINEAR FOOT for plotting at the rates shown below. Charges are accumulated and appear on TERM BILL approx every three weeks from September - May.
REFUNDS may be granted for obvious 'out-of-ink-or-paper' problems, by petition at Helpdesk, Room 520.
Black and White Laser Printers
All black & white laser printers are are Hewlett Packard 9040 models. Their naming convention is based on the printer's location (see chart below). All are capable of duplex printing and are loaded with letter and tabloid size paper. Cost is $0.05 (five cents) per page.

Color Laser Printers
The GSD has several high performance, color laser printers called Xerox Phaser 7760's. The table below lists locations and features. The Phasers are on the network, so the installation and printing process is like the black and white lasers.

Large Format Plotters
We own six HP 7100 Designjet Plotters and one HP1100 DesignJet Plotter. We also own a black and white only plotter made by Océ (pronounced "oh-say"). During mid and final review periods we rent additional plotters. See the table below for more info.
