Change Your Password

Change UNIX/email/Mac Password

• Your e-mail account
• Your network home directory (Unix Account)

Important

• Your new password must be between 6 and 8 characters in length
• It can contain special characters (like !,#,%) and numbers
• Your password should not be a common word or name
• Your password change may take up to an hour to take effect

Change Windows Password

• Log into a Windows machine
• hold down Ctrl and Alt keys, then press Delete key
• click Change Password button.

Forgotten Password

To get your password reset, come to the Computer Resources office with your Harvard ID. If you don't have one, bring a valid government or other school ID.

We may not be able to reset your password immediately, so you may be asked to come back a little later.
