I'm a new staff, faculty member, cross-registered or mid-term student. How do I get an account?
Most users will not need to take any action to get an account. Read "Your Computing Account" for more information.
When does my account expire?
About a month after your graduation(or termination of employment). Read "Your Computing Account" for more information.
I'm going on a leave of absence. Do I have access to my account?
Students while on leave retain their email service and remote access to their account, however, on-site use of academic resources (i.e.: use GSD computers, printers and plotters) are not available during period of leave of absence.
How do I map my terra account?
I have no link to public/software (plottmp, nettmp, etc.) in my terra account.

When I use a ssh client to connect to my account, I get a strange-looking prompt, and commands like "pine" don't work.
You deleted some files that you weren't supposed to. At the prompt, type copydots, then log out, and log back in - everything should be fine.
