Insurance Coverage

Although the incidence of theft or damage at the GSD has historically been low, accidents and misfortune can happen. You should consider some basic insurance coverage on your computer equipment. Often, an existing home-owners or renters insurance policy already includes, or can be extended for a small additional amount to include, personal belongings located in Gund Hall. Please check with your insurance company if you have questions. The GSD provides no coverage for theft or damage to personal computers, and the Computer Resources Group has no additional information on insurance matters. Be sure to have some type of insurance and security to keep your computer at the GSD.

Lock Kits

Computer Resources does sell laptop lock kits, to lock your computer down to your desk while at the GSD. They are available through the Vending machine on the 5th floor. Other kits are available through third party vendors. Be sure your computer is locked down at your desk at all times.

Laptops should be locked in your desk, even when you step away for a minute.
