Cintiq 21UX LCD Tablets

Locations: 516, PC lab & L19, Mac lab

Sign out Cintiq pens at Help Desk in room 520 or from the TA in L19. You may use your own Cintiq or Intuos 3 brand pen. Do not use any other kind of pen, they will not work and may damage the screen!

Works with all mouse-aware software, including

• SketchBookPro
• SketchUp
• Solidworks
• ProE
• Autodesk Inventor
• AutoCAD
• Maya
• Photoshop

Many of these applications take special advantage of tilt and pressure sensitivity. The keys at each side of the tablet are mappable to emulate a three button mouse for use in applications such as Maya (see the User guide). Experiment!

Tips

• If pen and screen do not line up properly the way you use the screen, open the Wacom Preferences and choose "Calibrate Pen" (find in Control Panel/win or System Preferences/mac)
• If you have "line wobble" (your lines look shaky when you draw) decrease the tilt sensitivity.
• Calibrate the display for special color needs exactly as you would any LCD monitor, using Display Properties found in the Control Panel or System Preferences.

These tablets were purchased with a special grant, and we cannot replace them. Please be very careful with them and follow all instructions on this page and in the wacom user manual.
