Burning with Roxio EasyCD and DVD Creator

  1. Insert a blank CD-R, in most Windows desktops, this dialog box should appear. If it does not, then you can open up Roxio Easy CD & DVD Creator through the Start Menu (in most PCs, this should be in programs>utilities), choose Creator Classic.

From the dialog, choose Create a CD or DVD using Roxio Easy CD & DVD Creator.

  2. Now you should see a project dialog box, shown below. The top half of the window (Select Source) shows the files on your hard drive. The lower half (Project) shows the files you will be burning into the CD. Select the Data tab on the Project section (lower half of the window)

  3. If the disc already has data in it from a previous burn (like the one we are using now), the following dialog window should appear.

Click on Yes to add more data or files to the disc.

  4. Drag files from the hard drive onto the project window. (If you are using a fresh disc, you can also choose to name the disc at this point.) The bar below the Project window shows how much space is used and is still available on the disk.

  5. If you have dragged in all the files you need onto the Project window, click on the burn button (the yellow orange button in the lower right hand corner of the window).

  6. Roxio will then let you choose the Record Setup (basically how fast the drive will burn the CD). Just take the defaults and click on OK.

  7. Roxio will then begin burning and verifying the disc.

  8. Congratulations, your disc is complete!
