Procedures for Cross-Registering out of the GSD

GSD students have two options for obtaining a cross-registration petition:
- Cross-registration petitions are available at the front desk in the Office of Student Services, Room 422, Gund Hall, 4th Floor. Students must show their student ID in order to receive a petition.
- Cross-registration petitions may also be downloaded at the university-wide cross-registration web site. Please note that you must use your PIN in order to download this petition
Regardless of the manner in which the petition is obtained, it must first be signed by the course instructor, and then the completed petition must be delivered by the student to the registrar's office of the host school. Students may want to ask for a copy of the petition before leaving it with the host school registrar's office for his/her own records.
When students receive their cross-registration course confirmations in their GSD mailboxes, they should be checked carefully for enrollment confirmation. If a student wishes to drop a cross-registered course, a GSD add/drop petition should be filled out and handed in to the Office of Student Services, Gund 422. The GSD registrar will forward a copy to the other registrar's office. Students failing to file cross registration petitions will not be considered enrolled elsewhere and will not receive credit in the GSD.
GSD students should check cross-registration dates and deadlines at partner schools.
Procedures for Cross-Registering into the GSD
The most up-to-date information about courses at the GSD can be found on the courses web page. When cross-registering, students must abide by the GSD dates and policies.
Students should obtain their school's cross-registration petition from their Registrar's Office. This petition must be signed by the student's home school registrar (unless otherwise noted by the home school registrar's office), followed by the GSD faculty member offering the course. It is at this point that the petition can be dropped off at the GSD Registrar's Office located in the Office of Student Services, Gund 422.
Please note that students cross-registering into the GSD will be charged a late fee for petitions submitted after the GSD cross-registration deadline. The fee, which must be paid in cash, is $10 per day, with a maximum fee of $40.
Students from outside of the GSD who wish to audit a GSD course should speak with the registrar in order to acquire a petition to audit.
