Course Descriptions
Courses offered by the Faculty of Design are organized in three sections reflecting the predominant mode of teaching.
Section I: Studios
These courses are intended to develop skills in design and planning
by drawing from knowledge and techniques across the breadth of the field.
Section II: Lectures and Seminars
These courses present the substance, theory, and modes of inquiry, organized
by specific areas of study listed below.

Socioeconomic Studies
Science and Technology
Professional Practice
Section III: Individual Study
Following adequate mastery of the literature and modes of thought associated
with a specific area of study, work at the graduate level frequently
involves individual study; these courses implement that process.
