INFORMATION for NEW STUDENTS
All new students should upload a photo image of themselves prior to arriving on campus. Please read the instructions, and then visit the image upload web site. You will need to use your Harvard University identification (HUID) number and related PIN in order to access this site (see the following paragraph concerning your HUID and PIN).
New students had their HUIDs (Harvard University identification numbers) sent to their summer addreses in mid-May. This letter also explained the process for acquiring a Harvard PIN. Through the use of the HUID and PIN, students have access to a variety of secure, Harvard web sites that allow for a smooth transition to life at the GSD. Please go to the PIN page once you have received your HUID and acquired your PIN. If you did not receive a letter by early July, please call the Office of Student Services at 617-495-5453.
For incoming international students: International Student Orientation will take place on Wednesday, August 26, with sessions to introduce you to the Design School and to living in the U.S. It's also an opportunity to meet other foreign students before becoming immersed in your studies. Please remember to check in at the Harvard International Office (HIO) upon arriving on campus, and bring the blue slip that you'll receive from the HIO to the GSD on August 26.
A reminder to all incoming students: Please resolve all conditions to your admission before orientation. Official copies of transcripts, test scores, grade reports, and any other required documentation must be received in the Admissions Office before orientation and registration in order to be cleared to register.
