PRESIDENTIAL INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGY FELLOWS (PITF) PROGRAM
The purpose of the Presidential Instructional Technology Fellows (PITF) program is to stimulate and support the development and dissemination of digital applications and materials that will enrich the Harvard curriculum. Harvard students are recruited and trained by the GSD Library Information Systems Department within the Frances Loeb Library to work with faculty to develop digital course materials with immediate educational benefits. Student participants in the PITF program will help GSD faculty create or improve various types of web course materials and other pedagogical tools.
Through the GSD PITF program, faculty can receive the aid of qualified PITFs with identified skill sets to undertake and complete funded projects by working collaboratively with the Library Information Systems Department to develop reusable digital content such as online tutorials and e-Lectures for GSD courses. PITFs will work under the supervision of the Head of the Library Information Systems and collaborate with other departments as necessary.
How to apply for a PITF funded project
GSD Faculty interested in proposing a PITF project should fill out the PITF Project-Proposal Form. Please make sure to clearly describe the goal(s), deliverables, and expected benefits of the proposed project. Projects that create reusable content, directly relate to teaching, which have an impact to a wide audience will be given priority in the selection process.
Submit the completed PITF Project Proposal Form to the Library Information Systems Department within the Frances Loeb Library (L06b, Gund Hall) or email it to Kevin Lau.
Note: Proposal deadlines are on a rolling schedule based on available resources and project time tables.
