AccuNet/APMultimedia Archive
The AccuNet/AP Multimedia Archive is a searchable database of more than 700,000 Associated Press photographs, charts and other graphics from the 1840s to the present.


American Landscape and Architectural Design, 1850-1920
This collection of approximately 2,800 lantern slides represents an historical view of American buildings and landscapes built during the period 1850-1920. The collection offers views of cities, specific buildings, parks, estates and gardens, including a complete history of Boston's Park System.


ARTstor
ARTstor, a not-for-profit organization funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, is a digital library of approximately 700,000 images in the areas of art, architecture, the humanities, and social sciences with a set of tools to view, present, and manage images. The Collection is the product of collaborations with libraries, museums, photographic archives, publishers, slide libraries, and individual scholars. In addition, images from the Visual Resources department of the Frances Loeb Library and the Fine Arts Library Slides & Digital Images Collection are now available in the ARTstor Library. ARTstor's software tools support a wide range of pedagogical and research uses including: viewing and analyzing images through features such as zooming and panning, saving groups of images online for personal or shared uses, and creating and delivering presentations both online and offline. Members of the GSD community who need assistance in the use of ARTstor and its tools should contact the Loeb Library's Visual Resources department, visres@gsd.harvard.edu.


CAMIO
RLG's Catalog of Art Museum Images Online, is a growing online collection documenting works of art from around the world. Images, text and multimedia represent a broad range of works of art from the collections of prominent museums, highlighting the creative output of cultures around the world, from prehistoric to contemporary times, and covering the complete range of expressive forms.


Digital Sanborn Maps 1867-1970
More than 660,000 large-scale maps of over 12,000 American towns and cities. This digital collection was scanned from the holdings at the Library of Congress. Users may manipulate the maps, zoom in on specific sections, and print them.


Directory to Photographs at Harvard
The Directory to Photographs at Harvard is an online guide to the photograph collections held in libraries, archives, museums, and teaching hospitals throughout the oldest university in the United States. It is estimated that 47 repositories at Harvard hold approximately 7.5 million photographic images.


Library of Congress American Memory Project
A gateway to primary source materials relating to the history and culture of the United States. The site offers more than 7 million digital items from more than 100 historical collections.


VIA
The Visual Information Access (VIA) system is a union catalog of visual resources at Harvard. It includes information about slides, photographs, objects and artifacts in the university's libraries, museums and archives. To date only portions of each repository's holdings are described in the online catalog.
