Reference Desk Service
During the fall and spring academic terms, staff are available at the
Reference Desk to assist library patrons with reference questions and
with searching the HOLLIS Catalog and other electronic and print resources.
The Reference Desk is staffed Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

You may direct email reference inquiries to libref@gsd.harvard.edu. Responses will be sent Monday through Friday.
Research Consultations
Harvard students and Design School affiliates are encouraged to schedule individual or group sessions with reference staff, who can assist with locating resources for class assignments as well as general reference instruction. Library Tours and Research Skills Sessions: Information for Faculty.
During the fall and spring semesters, special research skills sessions can be presented to assist students with research in their classes. Faculty members can arrange to have a general orientation for their students, or request a session on an individual resource (like the Digital Sandborn Map Collection) or designed around a class assignment.
