DIGITAL EQUIPMENT Loan
Frances Loeb Library's Digital Equipment Loan service, in partnership with the GSD Computer Resources Group, allows GSD students to borrow from a small but varied inventory of useful digital equipment such as iPads, digital projectors and cameras, laser pointers and GPS devices, etc.
The borrowing service is only for students enrolled at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, with ID. All the equipment is available for short term loan at the library's circulation desk. Just like books and other loaned resources, each item has a maximum loan period, an overdue fine, and a replacement cost associated with it.
The inventory of available equipment is below. Please note that laptops* are for loan ONLY to registered Teaching Assistants (TAs) for GSD courses. TAs must register with the librarian on duty at the circulation desk before borrowing a laptop.
Also note that batteries are not included in the loan—though they may be in the loaned equipment, borrowers are expected to provide their own batteries or replacement batteries if needed. (Note that batteries are generally available for sale in the 5th floor vending machine.) Other terms or conditions may apply to different items; check with the library staff on duty.
