Prof.Toshiko Mori presents; project wins recognition

Robert P Hubbard Professor in the Practice of Architecture Toshiko Mori recently participated in the Scholars Symposium, Art and Architecture: Old Masters at the Pulitzer, May 31-June 1 at the Pulitzer Foundation for the Arts in St. Louis, Missouri. The two-day event was held in conjunction with the Pulitzer Foundation’s current exhibition, Ideal [Dis-] Placements: Old Masters at the Pulitzer. Architects, artists, curators, and museum directors gathered to discuss how environments shape the viewing experience of art, paying particular attention to the viewing of Old Masters paintings.

Toshiko Mori also delivered a lecture at the Catholic University of America’s Summer Institute for Architecture on June 3 where she presented recent work, speaking to the summer lecture series theme, “Sensing Space: Immateriality in Architecture.”
The Eleanor and Wilson Greatbatch Pavilion, the new visitor center, designed by Professor Mori, at Frank Lloyd Wright’s Darwin D. Martin House complex in Buffalo, New York, was recently featured in Architectural Review, the Wall Street Journal, and in Architect Magazine.
