Danish Kurani attends State Department dinnerSep 24, 2012
In 2010 Danish Kurani (MAUD '13) was inducted into “Generation Change,” established by the U.S. State Department to represent some of the best and most innovative American Muslim leaders under the age of 30. Kurani was recognized for his role as an ambassador for Islam and his ongoing efforts to use design as a platform for change. The group reflects Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's commitment to strengthening relations between the U.S. and Muslim communities worldwide.
Last week Kurani attended a dinner reception hosted by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in Washington D.C. to commemorate the Eid ul-Fitr holiday celebrated by Muslim communities. Kurani and other leaders, entrepreneurs and activists discussed new initiatives for building stronger relationships between the U.S. and the Muslim world.
