May 22, 2013

A GSD team was selected from over 300 entries as finalists for the “SixtyNine Seventy: The Spaces Between” Urban Ideas Competition. The team consists of Fadi Masoud (MLAII'12), Aneesha Dharwadker (MDes'12), Conor O'Shea (MLAII'12 - MDes'14 ), Mike Albert (MLAII'13) and Victor Perez Amado (MARCH' 14 MAUD'14). Entitled MULTI-GRID, the team’s design proposes a bold vision for two square blocks in downtown Salt Lake City.

The project re-imagines the role of the grid as it transforms two square blocks in downtown Salt Lake City by deploying a set of strategies to activate interstitial spaces.
