GSD Panel and Reception Draw Large Turnout at Harvard University’s Global Alumni Conference,
Shanghai, March 28 & 29
More than 100 GSD alumni and friends attended a GSD panel and reception at the Harvard Alumni Association’s Global Series Conference held in Shanghai last month.
China’s Future: A Discussion of Design and Urbanism was moderated by Professor Alex Krieger, MCPUD ’77, and included the following panelists:
Kongjian Yu, DDes ’95; Dean, Graduate School of Landscape Architecture, Peking University, Beijing; and President, Turenscape Design
Yuyang Liu, MArch ’97; Principal, Atelier Liu Yuyang, Shanghai
Jiang Wu, Deputy Director General, Shanghai Urban Planning Administration Bureau

At a gala reception the following evening, over 600 Harvard alumni attended Cocktails & Conversation with Dean Mohsen Mostafavi as he reflected on contemporary architecture and urbanism in China.
