Rahul Mehrotra Architects awarded top prize for Hathigaon project

Rahul Mehrotra Architects (RMA) has been awarded the gold medal prize for sustainable architecture for their housing project Hathigaon: Housing for Mahouts and their Elephants. Rahul Mehrotra founded RMA in 1990 in Mumbai, and is GSD Professor of Urban Design and Planning and Chair of the Department of Urban Planning and Design.

This marks the 10th edition of the competition, which is organized by the University of Ferrara and is sponsored by Fassa Bortolo company. The award ceremony is scheduled to take place in Ferrara, Italy in June.
