GSD students launch trays, a new on-line journal
The latest GSD on-line forum, trays, was created to promote the wide range of activities and opportunities at the GSD.
In addition to encouraging students to post their projects, the editorial team will conduct interviews, contact alumni and notable professionals, and contribute feature stories. By sharing their research, thoughts, and ideas with each other, students can foster more informed and truly interdisciplinary conversations, which will evolve as new work is submitted.
“The flexibility of the journal’s structure will allow us to incorporate and benefit from the work of disparate individuals and seemingly separate fields of study,” notes trays’ website editorial. “The website is introspective—in the sense that we, as students and teachers, are allowing others to take a closer look at what we do—but is also generative, because this process may reveal ties across boundaries and broader structures and themes that may fundamentally alter the way we think and work.
