Their recent paper, in the journal&nbsp;</span><em><a href="http://eau.sagepub.com.ezp-prod1.hul.harvard.edu/content/24/1/99.abstract">Environment and Urbanization</a></em><span>,&nbsp;examines factors motivating slum dweller participation in physically and politically risky social movement activities. The research looked at grassroots mobilization around a large-scale eviction in the city's Kurasini ward.
