Karen Lee Bar-Sinai is an architect and co-founder of SAYA/Design for Change, an architectural office based in Israel. Her practice has developed the notion of "Resolution Planning"--the use of architectural means in aid of conflict resolution processes, negotiations and decision making. Her pioneering work in the Israeli-Palestinian context, often produced in collaboration with Palestinian architects, has served Israeli-Palestinian leaders during key negotiations. She will study urban and landscape design during her fellowship year.
