Medical and Health-Care Facilities
This series of projects focused on rethinking health-care environments with the aim of accommodating new medical technologies. Sponsored by the Advanced Research Projects Agency.
Historical Studies
A large model was constructed to investigate possible construction techniques (M. Ricci proposal) used to build the cupola of the Florence Cathedral by Brunnellschi (originally built without the aid of scaffolding). Part of a conference at Harvard, April, 1996.


Housing Studies
Impacts of Natural Hazards (Earthquakes, Wind) on Existing Housing in Urban Areas
This series of projects focused on understanding the vulnerability of existing housing to natural hazard impacts. Urban level vulnerability studies used geographic information systems to map potential housing damage patterns. Sponsored by the National Science Foundation and others.
