Timothy Dekker, Vice President and Senior Engineer with LimnoTech, is an environmental and water resources engineer with expertise in all aspects of river, lake and estuary remediation and restoration. Tim has led field efforts and numerical modeling studies at sites throughout North America, describing the dynamics of surface water, sediments, and groundwater systems; analyzing contaminant fate and transport; and using contaminant forensics to understand the history of contaminated sites. Tim is also a regular participant in national design competitions focusing on the restoration and revitalization of urban waterfronts, and actively works through volunteer and professional organizations to advance the science and practice of urban river restoration.
Tim received his Doctorate in Environmental Engineering at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in 1996 and has served as a lecturer and adjunct professor of environmental engineering there. Tim is a regular lecturer at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design.
