Aisling O’Carroll is Senior Project Manager at Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates, where she is Project Designer for the United States Embassy in Mexico City. She has contributed to design development for the Bloomingdale Trail in Chicago, and a variety of additional large and small scale urban projects. Previously, she has worked internationally with a range of landscape and architecture practices and research platforms. Aisling holds a degree in Architecture from the University of Waterloo, School of Architecture, and received her Master in Landscape Architecture from the Graduate School of Design, Harvard University, where she was awarded the Charles Eliot Traveling Fellowship and Thesis Prize in Landscape Architecture. She has lectured internationally on her research work, which traces the ecological impacts of cultural and institutionalized landscapes, with a focus on wilderness, roads and process-based landscape narratives.
