Lawrence H. Curtis is the President and Managing Partner of WinnDevelopment where he has led a full range of real estate development and acquisition activities for more than 25 years. He has been instrumental in helping the company grow it’s portfolio from 3,000 units in 1986 to more than 90,000 units currently under management in 23 states across the country. Mr. Curtis’ primary focus has been on the creation of affordable housing, as well as historic rehabilitation and adaptive re-use development projects. He served as a past president of the National Housing & Rehabilitation Association (NH&RA) and serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Multi-Housing Council (NMHC). Mr. Curtis was recently named to the Board of Trustees of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. His most recent charitable endeavor is co-founding New Lease for Homeless Families, a non-profit based in Boston that was initiated by a collaboration of real estate leaders and provides a clearinghouse of affordable housing units for families staying in state-funded shelters and motels throughout Massachusetts.
Larry received a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in New York and a Master’s degree in Architecture and Urban Design from Harvard University. He is a licensed Architect in Massachusetts.
