Ricardo Solar

Instructor in Architecture

Ricardo Solar was born in Mexico City, and grew up in Texas where he received a bachelor degree from TAMU College of Architecture.  He earned his M.Arch I from Harvard’s Graduate School of Design and worked closely with Farshid Moussavi at her London office on the book The Function of Style.

Ricardo has collaborated as a Designer in several architectural practices, most recently at SOM in New York where he worked on various high-rise office, commercial, residential, hotel, airport, and transportation projects. He collaborated extensively on portions of the new All Aboard Train Station in Downtown Miami currently under construction.

Ricardo has previously taught Introduction to Digital Skills at the GSD, and is founder of CONE, a design services startup based in Cambridge.
