Víctor Navarro is Architect by the Architecture School of Madrid, ETSAM. and co-founder with María Langarita of Langarita-Navarro Architects, a practice based in Madrid. They are authors of a number of innovative works, as the Medialab-Prado or the Red Bull Music Academy Madrid, that involves working with the existing, the energy management and the incorporation of the affections in the process of design. This has led them been recognized with several awards as the Special Mention to the Emergent Architect of the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture Mies van der Rohe Award 2013, the XII Spanish Architecture and Urbanism Biennale Prize , the COAM prize 2013, the FAD Prize 2012 or the ar+d Award for Emerging Architecture 2012. Their work has been exhibited at the Biennale di Venezia, Royal Institute of British Architects and Frankfurt Deutsches Architektur Museum and they have been choose for the Young Architects Program 2011 MAXXI, Rome. Langarita-Navarro has been wildely published in international magazines as A+U, A10, Abitare, Architecture Review, Arquitectura Viva, C3, Domus, FRAME, MARK or Surface magazine and Wallpaper*choose them for the Architects Directory 2013, a selection of top young architectural talents. A 2G monographic issue of their work is currently in edition.
