Advising: GSD students can meet individually with a career counselor to review career options, revise a resume or cover letter, plan a job search strategy, and practice interview skills. Call 617-495-4296 to schedule an appointment.

Seminars: Topics include Writing a Resume from an Employer's Point of View, The Academic Job Search, Effective Interviewing and Negotiation Skills, How to Work a Career Fair.

Career Panels: Three practitioners provide varied perspectives on topics such as What Employers Seek in Job Candidates, Academic Career Options, Digital Media Career Options, Real Estate Careers and many more.

Recruiting visits: Firms from across the US come to recruit at the GSD. Recent employers include firms such as: EDAW, SWA Group, HOK, Gensler, Payette, Arquitectonica, Foster and Partners.

Career Fair: Our biggest recruiting event happens every spring (photos from this event are to the right). Approximately 40 firms from across the US attend this event to meet with and interview students.

Alumni Networking Events: GSD alumni are a wonderful resource, and are committed to meeting and advising GSD students. Career Services actively engages alumni in events to help students make meaningful connections.

Resources: Our Career Library includes sample resumes and portfolios, design sheet examples, job search books and resources to learn more about potential employers.
