Impacts: Visual |

The Visual Impacts of the Alternatives will be obvious as Monroe County becomes urbanized; they will be seen daily. All of the designed Alternatives (i.e. Township, Southern, Spine, and Park) make use of the recommended Billboard Policy and the Design Guidelines. Adoption of these will significantly improve the visual quality of the County. Of all the Alternatives, however, only the Park is considered capable of protecting the Visual landscape over the next twenty five years and beyond. The Southern has relatively little impact, and the remainder a negative impact. None except the Park and Southern Alternatives can any longer claim to provide a network of "scenic public roads." |
